Reintroducing Batch LDN: A Message From Our Founder. 2026

Reintroducing Batch LDN: A Message From Our Founder. 2026

Written by Sam

Four years ago, Batch LDN didn’t start with a business plan or a perfectly thought-out vision. It started in Julian’s kitchen, with a simple conversation.

We were talking about suits and how wrong they felt.

The menswear industry hadn’t moved with the times. Everything leaned overly formal. “Smart-casual” had become a tired compromise. And nothing really reflected how people wanted to dress anymore. We weren’t looking to rebel against tailoring, we actually loved it, but it was clear it needed a rethink.

So we asked ourselves a question: What would a suit look like if it were designed for real life?

No Rulebook, No Fashion Backgrounds

At the time, we had no fashion training and no real idea what we were getting ourselves into. What we did have was ambition, curiosity, and a shared belief that things could be done better.

We wanted clothes that felt considered but effortless. Pieces you could wear every day, not just on “special occasions.” Tailoring without the stiffness. Style without the ceremony.

That idea eventually became what Batch LDN is today. Our take on the casual suit.

Pulling Back the Curtain on the Industry

As we started learning more about menswear production, one thing became impossible to ignore: the industry is fundamentally broken.

Overproduction is the norm. Quality is often sacrificed for speed. And the environmental cost is staggering with six in ten garments ending up in landfill within a year.

We knew we didn’t want to contribute to that cycle.

So we made a decision early on to take a different route.

Why We Chose Made-to-Order

Batch LDN is built around made-to-order tailoring. Nothing is produced unless it’s needed. No excess stock. No seasonal waste. Just well-made garments, created with intention.

This approach allows us to focus on quality first, better fabrics, better fits, and a more honest price. It also means we move a little slower than traditional fashion, and we’re okay with that. Good things should take time.

From a Kitchen Table to Covent Garden

Three years on from launching, Batch LDN has grown in ways we never imagined back in that kitchen.

We’ve opened our flagship store in Covent Garden, dressed people we once admired from afar, and, most importantly, built a community around the brand. People who care about how their clothes are made, not just how they look.

Seeing Batch worn in the wild, styled in personal ways, and trusted for meaningful moments is something we’ll never take for granted.

Looking Ahead

Batch LDN isn’t about chasing trends or shouting the loudest. It’s about creating modern tailoring that makes sense for today, and for the long term.

Reintroducing Batch LDN in 2026 feels less like a restart and more like a reminder of why we began in the first place.

And honestly, it feels like we’re only just getting started.
